Star Light, Star Bright
Imagine you've never seen a star twinkling at night
Or the world around you that shines so bright
Imagine being born without sight
And the struggles and challenges of life in this plight
But somewhere there is HOPE
Across oceans, on the other side of the world
There is HOPE

Mason Lopes, born Sept. 9, 2010, was born blind, because his optic nerves(the bridge between the brain and the eye) did not fully develop during his womb time. American doctors tell you there is nothing you can do, it is what it is.
But, in China they have a different idea. Something can be done, and is being done.
Stem cell treatments.
Not only is this helping these beautiful children regain some vision, but also helping their overall brain development and confidence soar.

The cost of the treatment is $30,000. We would like to bring Mason by the time he is 5 years old.
This is where our Mission for Vision begins for baby Mason. We will be doing lots of fundraising to raise the money, or you can make a donation!

Blessings from Brazil!

We have been receiving some very incredible donations from Brazil. I am amazed at how many lives Mason has touched, even the hearts of people he has never met. I know there is something extra special about him, more than just him being a cute baby, he has a special light.

Mason's grandmother who live sin Brazil, traveled to a city call Abadiania to visit John of God( http://www.johnofgod-brazil.net/ ). John of God (Joao de Deus, or birth name Joao Texeira da Faria) is a medium, or vessel, of spiritual healing. Many have said that he has performed miracles of healing, but John of God always says, “I have never healed anyone – it is God who heals.” He sent us special healing water for Mason to bathe in and to drink. He said Mason would have his first achievement in 90 days, and that was yesterday. He was supposed to have brain surgery this year, and at our last visit to the neurosurgeon he informed us it was no longer necessary, and would see us in a year. Our first good news in a doctors appointment!!

Mason has also had a beautiful piece of artwork which was donated to him to sell in auction, which sold a couple months ago.

This was the painting made to raffle for a donation for Mason by a Argentinian artist, Angel Cestac. The name of the painting is Quatro Figuras( Four Characters)

Not to mention everyone who has bought Bright Side shirts.

Aside from that, the most amazing donation I have seen is the overwhelming amount of love, support, and concern people have for our beautiful son. Especially, the devotion to helping him from people who even my husband and I have never met.

Thank you so much to everyone! There is no doubt in my mind that Mason will get to China! This is a slow and steady fundraising, but we will get there!!!

'Donate' button is FIXED!

It was brought to my attention that the 'Donate' button wasn't working. Good news, it's fixed!! I apologize to all of you who were having difficulties with it. Thanks XO

Christmas!!

Mason got glasses right before Christmas..not sure if they are making a difference, but his optometrist said, it can't hurt, and I'd have to agree! He really doesn't mind them at all, which is great!

Slowly but surely we are earning the money for China!

2012 will be an amazing year, I can't wait to see what surprises are in store for us, we have big, big, goals ahead of us, and we need all of your support! We are so blessed to have so many loving, supportive people in our lives!
